POINTS OF UNITY
The FDPM’s Points of Unity can be summarized as follows:
- To stand against systemic and all forms of racism, including Zionism, discrimination against indigenous Peoples and peoples of color, Sexism, Islamophobia, Homophobia, Religious discrimination, agism, and xenophobia.
- The freedom of the Palestinian people to exercise the irright to establish their own free political, social, legal, economical, and cultural entity after the liberation of Palestine
- Rejection of all and any attempt to partition Palestine.
- The rights of all Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and lands of origin, and to full restitution of all their confiscated and destroyed property in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and International law.
- The struggle to liberate Palestine is part of the struggle to liberate the Arab World.
- The rejection of the Oslo accords and all its ramifications including the so-called deal of the century.
- Resistance against oppression, colonialism, and military occupation and subjugation is a human right sanctioned by International law.
- Our struggle is an organic part of the American and global struggles for freedom, peace, social, and economic justice.
- We believe that free healthcare and education for all is a human right.
- Our movement is part of the green movement worldwide to save and protect the environment including food production and distribution, clean water, and air.
- Woman liberation and equality is vital to the freedom of all.
- Defending the political, social, legal, and civil rights of the Palestinian Communities in the US and worldwide.

Name: Free Democratic Palestine Movement (FDPM)
THE SECOND ARTICLE
Goals and Objectives:
- The dissemination of information and ideas to achieve abroad acceptance of our points of unity amongst our communities, the public, and politicians.
- Organizing activities and programs to reinforce our ideas and points of unity.
THE THIRD ARTICLE
Membership Requirements:
- Every person 18 Years or older may join the FDPM.
- All members are required to pay dues Organizations, Associations, and
- Unions may join the FDPM as supportive organizations after paying annual dues.
- All members must agree to all Points of Unity.
THE FOURTH ARTICLE
Acceptance of membership:
- Anyone who meets the membership requirements may join the local chapters through the invitation of an existing member, and by a majority vote of that FDPM committee.
- The Central leadership may refuse the recommendation of a membership for a compelling reason.
THE FIFTH ARTICLE
Membership Rights:
- To practice the democratic right of discussion of all issues in committee meetings. To criticize all mistakes, which may hinder the work of the committee in meetings but not in public.
- To practice the right of voting, discussing, and participating in the decisions of all matters pertaining to the local committee in which they are a voting member including nomination and election in the committee.
THE SIXTH ARTICLE
Relations within the committees:
- Democratic relations prevail within the committees between members. Such relations necessitate respecting the point of view of every member, and the respect of the opinions of the majority by the minority after the views of the minority have been heard.
- All members should abide by the democratic decisions after the vote becomes the policy of the committee.
- The National leadership committee can object to local decisions that contradict the policy of the organization or is in contradiction of a national policy that causes harm to the organization and its standing or its alliances. That will be done in a meeting with the local committee to discuss and explain the premises of such objection.
THE EIGHTH ARTICLE
Disciplinary Measures:
- Warning:
- A.Memberswho refrain fromtheir duties.
- B.Memberswho are absent(3) consecutive meetings without excuse.
- C.Mistreatmentof others.
- D.Those who do not abide by the decisions of committees.
- Dismissal
- Those who receive (3) disciplinary measures are no longer considered members of the committees.
- Those who do not attend meetings,
- Those who work against the goals of the committees.
THE NINTH ARTICLE
The structure of the committees:
- Each chapter elects a steering committee to carry on the major tasks such as work in Centers and Clubs and the public.
- Each chapter elects one person as head of the committee. In the event of the existence of more than one committee in one city, a coordinating committee is formed from the various committees to better coordinate the activity of the committees in the area.
TEMPORARY STRUCTURE
Because of our circumstances as a new organization, our framework will reflect our realty. We shall establish local committees in the areas where we have the capacity. We Shall also establish committees from adding sole members in different areas to areas when necessary.
The steering Committee will continue to function as a national leadership body at this stage of FDPM development.

THE TENTH ARTICLE
Local Committee Election
- Elections are carried out through a secret ballot, orally, or by raising a hand.
- Elections are carried out once every two year for all local committees.
- Motions are passed by simple majority during all meetings.
